CARRIE MCDOWELL – After a brief hiatus, this former Motown Recording Artist is back in the studio. Recently completed recoding and mixing 2 tracks; Almost Like Being In Love and Nancy Wilson’s (I’m Afraid) The Masquerade Is Over –w- big band and strings. Currently In pre-production - selecting new material and writing arrangements of additional selections for the forthcoming CD. Recording resumes this November in Chicago with rhythm section, strings, brass and woodwinds.

An audience of 11,000(+) in attendance at the Pritzker Pavilion this summer to witness Corey Wilke’s Improvised Soul Projekt –w- Robert Irving III, Fareed Haque, Kahil El Zabar, turntablelist Val Jeanty and friends to a concert broadcast by WFMT experienced the groove and were moved to a standing ovation, the Hyde Park Jazz Festival, a record release party at Andy’s, a Green Mill gig, a new CD – ‘Kind of Miles (Live at the Velvet Lounge)’, Made In Chicago Jazz Series and Porgy and Bess in Vienna this November, not to mention a member of the House Band of NBC’s “Playboy Club” makes Corey Wilkes one in-demand jazz artist. A European tour this fall and two additional recordings are in the works.

C Sharp Founder & CEO, Kent Anderson rejoins the faculty for a second straight semester at Columbia College Chicago as an Adjunct Professor. Anderson joins the School of Fine Arts – Arts, Entertainment & Media Management instructing the Business of Music and Applied Marketing: Music courses. With more than 120 academic programs and nearly 12,000 students, Columbia College Chicago is the largest and most diverse private arts and media college in the nation. The school nurture’s the largest concentration of young creative talent in the United States. 	Kent Anderson – Founder & CEO of C Sharp Consulting was recently appointed to an Adjunct Professor position at Roosevelt University. “Kent is a great addition to the faculty at Roosevelt and brings to it major and independent label experience as well as his ongoing experience as an entrepreneur,” articulates Assistant Professor & Head of Jazz and Contemporary Music Studies – Paul Wertico. “In addition to the real life case studies he can provide, he is actively involved in the music industry and can prepare and assist our students in navigating the paradigm shift the music industry is currently experiencing.” Anderson founded C Sharp Consulting in 2005 and is pleased to add Roosevelt University to the company’s portfolio.	C Sharp Consulting offers an array of services to recording artists and labels alike which include; Artist Management, Sales and Marketing advice and Financial Management. Managed on a day-to-day basis by industry veterans Kent Anderson and John Morison the Company focuses on leveraging relationships and experience while providing services and advice in maximizing revenues for the Company’s clients. C Sharp can also provide a turnkey solution in the formation of a ‘virtual record label’ working on behalf of the Artist as they relate to the marketing endeavors required for a successful campaign for a new release.
